Thanks For Bidding. Your Prize...An Empty Box!!!

Ran across this strange auction the other day.  Not sure why someone would sell empty boxes.  I always recycle mine.  Not sure why someone would buy empty boxes unless they did not read the title of the auction...and did not read the item description.  Or perhaps Topps has a promotion going where you can redeem Topps Heritage box UPC's for some special set, but I have not heard of anything like that for 2018 Topps Heritage.  Very strange unless I'm missing something.

Maybe someone will cut the little circles out that picture the players. I have a Yaz cutout from an original 1969 wax pack box. So in fifty years it will be old. My guess

Some people collect the empty boxes as sort of a completion of their complete sets (although I would think they'd have one already from the set build). In fact, I think I saw one of the bloggers in the recent N.O. Blog Bat-a-round who does so. I like to include a wrapper with my complete sets and I have saved a box or two featuring a star player or two.

I'm embarrassed to admit this... but I've actually purchased an empty box off of eBay before:

Cool, I had no idea. Thanks for the link Fuji, and nice Halloween costume! I'm thinking about trying to be a volunteer at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
